Unguided Rides:  $20.00 per day/per person on your own horse  (Included free for overnight ranch guests.)

The ranch offers 1 hour to 6 hour trails.  We have a total of 14 hours of trail riding just on the ranch.  Additionally, there are trails connected to 22,000 acres of Skyline Wildlife Management Area for additional riding adventures.  So you don’t have to go to Montana or Colorado to have a big ranch experience.

Appalachian Foothills Terrain:  There is a beautiful creek on the ranch that, in certain areas, is shallow enough to ride your horse in.  Water is available on some trails.  Trails are mostly shaded forest with some short rides across open pastures.  The beautiful mountains are from easy to moderate in difficulty.   It is a true sanctuary from the modern world.

RANCH GUESTS RIDE FOR FREE

Call ahead to announce your arrival so someone will be waiting for you and prepared to assist you.

Note for Large Horse Trailers with Tanks Underneath:  Please be VERY careful crossing railroad tracks no matter which route you choose to come in if you have a large horse trailer – especially the ones with living quarters, tanks underneath, etc. so that you do not drag coming across them.  We have not had anyone that could not get across them, but a heads up on a potential problem is always best so caution can be used in crossing.  We did have some women to tell us to give a heads up on coming through from Scottsboro via Fackler (County Rd 42).  We listen to our guests and appreciate their input.  Coming that route on County Rd 55, you will be coming through Low Gap across Crow Mountain.  There are a couple of hair pin turns you may want to be aware of if you have a large trailer.  Again, no one has had a problem, but just in case you would like to know ahead of time, you can choose whether you would rather come in through Stevenson instead.

“One of the saddest lines in the world is, ‘Oh come now – be realistic.’ The best parts of this world were not fashioned by those who were realistic. They were fashioned by those who dared to look hard at their wishes and gave them horses to ride.”

– Richard Nelson Bolles
